Job summary

Orion Placement in Wilmington, DE is seeking an experienced tax professional to manage ongoing relationships with individual and business clients. You will prepare and review federal, state, and local returns and provide proactive planning to optimize tax outcomes.

Active Delaware CPA license and 4+ years of tax return experience are required. You will work in-person on-site with a collaborative team and have access to a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and retirement

Qualifications

• Active Delaware CPA license required.
• 4+ years of individual and business tax return preparation experience.
• Strong knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, corporate tax, and tax planning.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online and Desktop required.
• CCH, Engagement, or comparable tax software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage ongoing relationships with individual and business tax clients.
• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns and supporting workpapers.
• Provide proactive tax planning and identify opportunities to reduce tax exposure.
• Research tax issues and help clients navigate changing regulations.
• Explain complex tax concepts clearly to clients.
• Maintain documentation and financial records across multiple engagements.
• Manage multiple tax projects and deadlines with accuracy and responsiveness.
• Use accounting and tax technology including QuickBooks, CCH, Engagement, and similar platforms.
• Collaborate with colleagues across services to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
