Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking a full-time tax advisor to join our Wilmington, Delaware team. You will own client relationships, prepare and review federal, state, and local returns, and provide proactive tax planning for individuals and businesses.

Qualifications

• Active Delaware CPA license.
• 4+ years of tax return preparation experience.
• Strong knowledge of tax accounting, compliance, corporate tax, and planning.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online/Desktop.
• Experience with CCH/Engagement.

Responsibilities

• Manage ongoing relationships with individual and business tax clients.
• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns and supporting workpapers.
• Provide proactive tax planning to reduce tax exposure and improve outcomes.
• Research tax issues and advise on changing regulations.
• Explain complex tax concepts clearly to clients.
• Maintain documentation across multiple client engagements.
• Manage multiple tax projects and deadlines with accuracy.
• Use tax technology including QuickBooks and CCH.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
