Job summary

Orionplacement is seeking a Delaware-licensed CPA with 4+ years of tax return preparation to manage individual and business client relationships in Wilmington. You will handle federal, state, and local filings while providing proactive tax planning and advisory insights.

You will work on-site in a collaborative team, using QuickBooks, CCH, Engagement and related tools, and you will explain complex tax concepts clearly to clients.

Qualifications

  • Active Delaware CPA license required.
  • 4+ years of individual and business tax return preparation experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, corporate tax, and tax planning.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online and Desktop.
  • CCH, Engagement, or comparable tax and accounting software experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage ongoing relationships with individual and business tax clients.
  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local individual and business tax returns and supporting workpapers.
  • Provide proactive tax planning and identify opportunities to reduce tax exposure and improve financial outcomes.
  • Research tax issues and help clients navigate changing federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Explain complex tax concepts clearly and confidently to clients.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and financial records across multiple client engagements.
  • Manage multiple tax projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and responsiveness.
  • Use accounting and tax technology including QuickBooks, CCH, Engagement, and similar platforms.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across accounting and advisory services to deliver comprehensive client solutions.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year

Location:

This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in Wilmington, Delaware, ideal for someone who enjoys in-person collaboration and direct client interaction.

Note:

Candidates must have an active Delaware CPA license and 4+ years of experience preparing individual and business tax returns. This position requires working in person in Wilmington.
