Tax Manager - Business Tax Services - Private Tax - National Tax

Position Overview

As a Tax Manager within the Private Tax group of EY's National Tax Department, you will serve privately held companies and their owners, including family businesses and private equity-owned companies. This role offers opportunities to work on technically demanding tax planning and compliance projects, supporting high-growth private companies across various stages from startups to global enterprises.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and advise on technical tax issues for private entities, including C-Corps, S-Corps, Partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals and families.
• Develop effective tax planning strategies and ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations.
• Build and maintain long-term client relationships, understanding their unique needs and providing tailored advice.
• Coach and develop a team of tax professionals, reviewing their work and fostering their growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
• CPA certification or Bar membership.
• At least 5 years of experience in professional tax services or similar environments.
• Deep knowledge of estate, wealth, and trust taxation, with experience in flow-through entities and corporate tax.
