Job summary

BDO USA, Milwaukee, seeks a Tax Manager for Core Tax Services to advise clients on tax implications of business objectives and identify strategies to reduce tax burden and costs. The role is primary contact for complex issues and supports business development within the tax specialization.

The ideal candidate has five or more years of tax experience, with a Bachelor's in a related field and CPA/EA/attorney credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics required.
• Master's in Accountancy or Taxation preferred.
• Five or more years of prior relevant tax experience required.
• CPA certification or Attorney/EA or equivalent required.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure client compliance with authorities while minimizing tax and reporting burdens.
• Review tax issues with client and resolve with specialists as needed.
• Plan and review tax processes including budgeting, staffing and timing.
• Manage client relationships and expectations within projects.
• Provide timely written tax advice and guidance to clients.
• Supervise associates and senior associates and provide feedback.
