Job summary

Solid Rock Recruiting, LLC. is seeking an experienced Tax Manager for its established public accounting firm.

This role focuses on leading client engagements, providing strategic tax guidance, and mentoring staff while maintaining work‑life balance. You will manage engagements across individuals, partnerships, and corporations, review complex returns, and deliver proactive tax planning and advisory services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA license preferred.
• 5+ years of public accounting experience with a strong tax background.
• Experience preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage tax engagements for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other business entities.
• Review complex federal and state income tax returns for accuracy and compliance.
• Provide tax planning, consulting, and advisory services to a diverse client base.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
• Identify tax-saving opportunities and communicate recommendations to clients.
• Oversee, mentor, and provide guidance to staff and senior-level tax professionals.
• Monitor engagement deadlines, workflow, and overall client deliverables.
• Research complex tax issues and stay current with changing tax regulations.
• Work alongside firm leadership to support continued growth and development of the tax practice.
