Overview

A well-established and highly respected public accounting and advisory firm is seeking a Tax Manager to join its growing team. This role will lead client engagements, provide technical tax guidance, and support the development of staff while delivering high-quality service across a diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a variety of tax engagements for corporate, partnership, and individual clients
• Review complex tax filings and ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness
• Identify tax planning opportunities and provide strategic recommendations to clients
• Supervise and mentor team members, providing ongoing feedback and development
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships
• Oversee tax provisions and support technical research on complex tax matters
• Assist clients with federal and state tax inquiries, including audit support when needed
• Collaborate with firm leadership on process improvements, quality control, and team development initiatives

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in public accounting with a focus on taxation
• Active CPA license required
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations; exposure to multistate matters is a plus
• Experience reviewing complex returns across multiple entity types
• Proficiency with common tax software platforms
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills
