Reasonover Talent Group is currently partnering with a rapidly growing, fully virtual Accounting, Tax and Advisory firm to find an experienced and proactive Tax Manager to join their team.

Position Overview:

The Tax Manager will play a key role in managing the preparation and review of federal and state tax returns for a diverse client base. This role involves supervising and mentoring a small tax team, which includes a seasoned Tax Senior and a Tax Intern. The Tax Manager will report directly to the Managing Partner, who will oversee the final review and sign-off on tax returns.

This is a full-time, 1099 contractor position with no benefits. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation and review of federal and state tax returns for various clients (approximately 200 returns annually).
• Supervise and mentor the Tax Senior and Tax Intern, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Collaborate with the Managing Partner to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable tax laws.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Support bookkeeping functions during non-tax season as needed.
• Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of tax preparation experience
• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
• Ability to work Eastern Standard time zone.
• Strong proficiency in preparing and reviewing complex tax returns.
• CPA or EA designation is highly preferred but not required.
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Successful completion of a background and credit check is required.
