Responsibilities

• Manage and review business, partnership, corporate, and individual tax engagements.
• Ensure tax deliverables are accurate, compliant, and completed on schedule.
• Prepare and review tax returns, projections, workpapers, and related documentation.
• Support tax-planning and advisory services for closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through responsiveness and technical expertise.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop senior accountants and staff accountants.
• Coordinate engagement workflow, deadlines, budgets, and scheduling.
• Research and resolve federal, state, and multistate tax matters.
• Collaborate with firm leadership to improve processes and client-service delivery.
• Support the implementation of technology and best practices across tax engagements.
• Work with colleagues across Accounting First Group’s national network.

The client is seeking a Tax Manager to oversee tax engagements, support client relationships, and contribute to the continued growth of its New Jersey practice.
