Job summary

Clark Schaefer Hackett seeks a Tax Manager to lead complex engagements, review returns, and provide advisory services to business owners and leaders in a trusted client relationship role.

You’ll mentor professionals, manage budgets and timelines, and drive growth within a respected CPA and advisory firm with a flexible hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• CPA, EA, CA, or similar professional designation.
• Public accounting tax experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Strong technical tax, research, and planning expertise.
• Experience managing client relationships and complex engagements.
• A passion for developing others and delivering exceptional client service.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex tax engagements from planning through delivery.
• Review tax returns, tax research, and consulting projects.
• Help clients develop proactive tax strategies and minimize tax exposure.
• Serve as a primary advisor and relationship manager for clients.
• Coach, mentor, and develop tax professionals.
• Manage multiple engagements, budgets, and timelines.
• Identify opportunities to bring additional value to clients and strengthen relationships.
