Job summary

Clark Schaefer Hackett is seeking a Tax Manager to serve as a trusted advisor, lead complex engagements, and mentor developing professionals. You will drive client relationships and advisory-focused work for a Top 65 CPA & Advisory Firm. The role supports a flexible hybrid work environment and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• CPA, EA, CA, or similar professional designation is required.
• Public accounting tax experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Strong technical tax, research, and planning expertise.
• Experience managing client relationships and complex engagements.
• A passion for developing others and delivering exceptional client service.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex tax engagements from planning through delivery.
• Review tax returns, tax research, and consulting projects.
• Help clients develop proactive tax strategies and minimize tax exposure.
• Serve as a primary advisor and relationship manager for clients.
• Coach, mentor, and develop tax professionals.
• Manage multiple engagements, budgets, and timelines.
• Identify opportunities to bring additional value to clients and strengthen relationships.
