Job summary

Maxwell Locke & Ritter LLP offers a Spring 2028 Tax Internship (In-Person) in Downtown Austin or Round Rock, TX. Start mid February through mid April, working 40-55 hours per week.

As a tax intern, you will prepare federal income tax returns, assist in tax consulting projects, and learn through mentorship in a hands-on, fast-paced setting. This in-person program provides strong development and client-service exposure.

Qualifications

• Must have completed Intermediate Accounting I and at least one taxation course.
• Must have a B- or better in all accounting courses.
• Must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
• Must be available to work full-time (40-55 hours per week) during the internship period.
• Availability to work in-office during the internship period.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare federal income tax returns and assist in various tax consulting projects.
