Job summary

Cerity Partners in Louisville, KY invites a motivated undergraduate student to join our tax team as a Summer Internship Tax Intern for 2027. The paid program offers 30-40 hours per week and hands-on experience in federal, state, and local tax work within a nationally recognized RIAs environment.

You will gain exposure to senior leaders, participate in tax projects, and develop skills in tax software like UltraTax CS, Engagement Manager, and SurePrep while collaborating with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled in an undergraduate program with a minimum 3.2 GPA
• Majoring in Finance, Accounting, or related business degree
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Applications
• Actively participating in campus organizations, preferably with leadership experience
• Identify with Cerity Partners’ mission and core values
• Strong collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills, keen attention to detail
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Participate in financial planning and tax projects, as assigned
• Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local individual and business income tax returns in UltraTax CS
• Create workpapers in Engagement Manager and SurePrep that tell the story of how projects were prepared
• Utilize FirmFlow and GoFileRoom to maintain an accurate status of workflows
• Research and analyze a wide range of tax issues
• Other duties as requested by Tax Advisors and Tax Administrators
