Job summary

Sorren seeks a motivated accounting/finance student for a tax internship in Greensboro, NC. You will assist with individual, corporate, and partnership returns while supporting accounting tasks for tax prep and data accuracy.

You will review prior returns, gather missing information, and participate in basic tax planning. Strong Excel skills, communication, and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; willing to learn tax software.
  • Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Available to work part-time or full-time during internship.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
  • Support quarterly and annual accounting tasks for tax prep.
  • Review prior returns and documents to gather missing information.
  • Record tax data with accuracy and cross-entity connections.
  • Participate in basic tax planning discussions.
  • Communicate clearly with internal team members to resolve issues.
