Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in tax preparation.
  • CPA license or eligible.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
  • In-depth understanding of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software and accounting tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in calculations and document reviews.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
  • Leadership and mentoring abilities to supervise and develop junior staff.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and consolidated tax returns.
  • Review associates’ and interns’ tax returns, providing constructive feedback to ensure quality and support growth.
  • Perform and review quarterly and annual accounting procedures to prepare financial records for tax purposes.
  • Identify organizational structures and related entities for tax implications and big‑picture impacts.
  • Ensure accurate and complete data for filings, identifying and communicating missing information.
  • Calculate quarterly and annual estimated tax liabilities accurately.
  • Conduct tax planning to identify opportunities for improvement and added value for clients.
  • Research and resolve complex tax issues, providing guidance and recommendations.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients, providing updates and addressing questions.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns to enhance team performance and skill development.
  • Contribute to team efforts by assisting with projects and engaging in collaborative problem‑solving.
  • Stay updated on tax laws and best practices through ongoing training and independent learning.
  • Manage engagements efficiently, meeting deadlines, particularly during high‑demand periods.
  • Perform other duties and displays flexibility to take on a variety of responsibilities assigned by firm leadership.
  • Meet annual billable hour and other targets to fulfill individual performance and overall firm productivity.

Position Summary: Your Impact (Essential Duties)
