Job summary

Cognitioworld is seeking an accounting intern to review data input, resolve tax issues, and assist in reviewing tax preparations completed by the firm in India. You will respond to IRS inquiries, research issues, and collaborate with client teams to build strong relationships. The role emphasizes analytical, written and verbal communication, as well as project planning and time management.

Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship is required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 is required.
• Willingness to work additional hours and travel to client sites.
• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Review data input, identify and resolve technical tax issues and assist in reviewing tax preparations completed by the firm in India.
• Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other taxing authorities.
• Identify, research and assess tax issues for senior staff review.
• Collaborate with client team members to build rapport and client relationships.
• Work on a variety of client engagements across industries.
• Engage in community outreach activities and professional development discussions.
