Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting and tax principles with interest in expanding knowledge.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn tax preparation software.
• Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
• Support quarterly and annual accounting tasks related to tax preparation.
• Review prior returns and documents to gather and organize missing information.
• Record tax data accurately, noting potential connections across entities.
• Assist in calculating quarterly and annual estimated tax liabilities.
• Participate in basic tax planning discussions and projects as appropriate.
• Communicate clearly with internal team members to clarify data or document issues.
• Contribute to team projects and participate in learning opportunities and training sessions.
• Perform other duties and display flexibility to take on various responsibilities assigned by firm leadership.
• Meet agreed upon targets to fulfill individual performance and overall firm productivity.
