Job summary

Current is offering a Spring/Summer 2027 Tax Intern position where you will gain hands-on experience in tax compliance, research, and client service. You will work with experienced tax professionals, participate in training, and develop foundational tax and public accounting skills.

We seek curious, detail‑oriented students who are eager to learn, open to feedback, and motivated to grow in a dynamic accounting environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting/Finance.
• Interest in tax or public accounting.
• CPA licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities.
• Organize financial information and use tax software to support tax preparation.
• Prepare basic workpapers, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Research tax laws, credits, deductions, and regulatory changes.
• Learn how tax professionals identify opportunities and provide value to clients.
• Work alongside associates, senior associates, managers, and other professionals.
• Ask questions, receive feedback, and develop your technical and professional skills.
• Participate in training, networking, and other professional development opportunities.
• Build experience using technology, automation, AI, and other tools that are changing how accounting professionals work.
