Job summary

RSM is seeking a Tax Intern for Credits, Incentives & Methods (CIM) - Accounting Methods & Periods (AMP) to support planning, research, and filing work with clients across industries.

Interns will develop client understanding, assist on multiple projects, and document analyses while maintaining ongoing professional education and seeking further certifications. Travel to client sites is required.

Qualifications

• Completed 90 credit hours toward a BA/BS in accounting or related field.
• Working toward a BA/BS degree; accounting major.
• Must have access to transportation to client locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with tax planning and research related to timing of income, deductions, capitalization, cost recovery and inventory.
• Develop understanding of client's business and industry to identify tax planning ideas.
• Assist in implementing multiple projects, including client interviews, data gathering, analysis, computations, and tax filings.
• Document facts and positions and draft technical memoranda.
• Communicate effectively and respond timely to internal/external requests to drive AMP engagements.
