Job summary

RSM US LLP is seeking interns for its CIM group, focusing on Accounting Methods & Periods (AMP). You will assist with tax planning, data gathering, analyses, and the preparation of tax filings while delivering exceptional client service across engagements.

Ideal candidates have completed 90 credit hours, are pursuing a B.A./B.S., and hold an accounting major. Travel to client locations is required, with a strong emphasis on communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 90 credit hours completed
• Working towards a B.A. / B.S. degree or equivalent from accredited university
• Accounting Major
• Travel to assigned client locations is required
• A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with tax planning and research related to various items that affect the timing of income, deductions, capitalization, cost recovery and inventory
• Develop an understanding of client's business and industry to help identify tax planning ideas
• Assist in implementing multiple projects simultaneously, including client interviews, data gathering, analysis, computations, and preparation of tax filings
• Document facts and positions and draft other technical memoranda
• Communicate effectively and respond timely to internal and external requests to help drive AMP engagements
• Maintain competency through continuing education and obtaining additional professional certifications
