As an intern, you will gain hands-on tax experience, prepare tax returns, perform research, and learn from staff up to Partners. You should be pursuing a Bachelor's in Accounting, have completed a taxation class, and be working toward CPA exam credits.

Qualificações

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Completed corporate or individual taxation class.
• Actively pursuing CPA exam credits.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsabilidades

• Gain hands-on tax-related experience.

• Conduct tax research and discuss findings with your supervisor.
• Assist in preparing timely financial statements for informed decisions.

The Hawkins Ash CPAs Spring Tax Internship offers an opportunity to develop your skills, build lasting relationships, and make a meaningful impact for clients.

What you'll do:

• Gain hands-on tax-related experience
• Participate in the January Intern Training event to help you obtain the technical skills needed to start contributing right away
• Receive on-the-job training and real-world experience working with clients; putting what you learned in the classroom to use
• Have the opportunity to work directly with staff —from Associates to Partners— and learn directly from them
• Prepare individual and business income tax returns
• Conduct tax research and convey information to your supervisor
• Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements to enable effective and informed decision-making
• Demonstrate your work ethic, knowledge, and interest in joining Hawkins Ash CPAs full-time
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Our ideal candidate will:

• Currently be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Have completed a corporate or individual taxation class
• Actively be achieving credits to sit for the Certified Public Accountant exam
• Have excellent skills in communication, organization, and attention to detail
• Exhibit strong computer skills, especially proficient in Microsoft Office

The hourly rate for this position is $26.00 - $27.00 per hour.
