Hawkins Ash CPAs in Neenah, WI invites you to its Spring Tax Internship. This program offers hands-on tax experience, mentorship, and exposure to real client work while you collaborate with staff and leadership.

You'll participate in the January Intern Training to build the technical skills needed to start contributing right away, prepare tax returns, and conduct research, with opportunities to transition to a full-time role after graduation.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Has completed a corporate or individual taxation class.
• Actively pursuing credits to sit for the CPA exam.
• Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on tax experience
• Attend January Intern Training to start contributing quickly
• Get on-the-job training with clients
• Learn from staff—from Associates to Partners
• Prepare individual and business tax returns
• Conduct tax research and report findings
• Assist in timely, accurate financial statements
• Demonstrate work ethic and interest in full-time role
• Perform other duties as assigned

What you'll do:

• Gain hands-on tax-related experience
• Participate in the January Intern Training event to help you obtain the technical skills needed to start contributing right away
• Receive on-the-job training and real-world experience working with clients; putting what you learned in the classroom to use
• Have the opportunity to work directly with staff —from Associates to Partners— and learn directly from them
• Prepare individual and business income tax returns
• Conduct tax research and convey information to your supervisor
• Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements to enable effective and informed decision-making
• Demonstrate your work ethic, knowledge, and interest in joining Hawkins Ash CPAs full-time
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Our ideal candidate will:

• Currently be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Have completed a corporate or individual taxation class
• Actively be achieving credits to sit for the Certified Public Accountant exam
• Have excellent skills in communication, organization, and attention to detail
• Exhibit strong computer skills, especially proficient in Microsoft Office
