Job summary

Eide Bailly in Dubuque, IA, is seeking a Tax Intern during the busy season (January–April). The role offers part-time or full-time hours in our Dubuque office, with an emphasis on hands-on client work and learning across tax disciplines.

You are pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and aim to sit for the CPA. You will assist in gathering tax information, help prepare returns, and support the tax team to meet deadlines.

Authorization to work in the United States is required.

• You are pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and on track to sit for your CPA license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in gathering relevant tax information from clients to prepare accurate returns.
• Work with the tax team to ensure individual and business returns are completed correctly and by deadlines.
• Assist in preparing high-level returns for multi-million-dollar manufacturing companies or high-net-worth individuals.
• Support the team in evaluating tax positions to maximize benefits and ensure compliance.

A typical day in the life of a Tax Intern with Eide Bailly might include the following:

• Assist in gathering relevant tax-related information from a client so an accurate tax return can be prepared.
• Work with the tax team to ensure individual and business tax returns are completed correctly and by the required deadline.
• Assist in preparing a high-level return for a multi-million‑dollar manufacturing company or high-net‑worth individual.
• Look at tax situations from various angles to ensure the maximum tax benefit is applied.
• Network and build relationships across the Firm.
