WithumSmith+Brown, PC's Tax Services Group is seeking a Tax Principal based in Houston, TX to lead market strategy, service delivery, and team growth within our tax practice. This senior role focuses on expanding priority tax clients, driving cross‑functional collaboration, and shaping differentiated tax strategies across regions, reporting to the Director of Markets.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
CPA license, JD, or MS in Taxation.
15+ years of professional services sales experience.
Minimum 8 years of industry experience.
Demonstrated strategic leadership and market opportunity definition.
Experience in process creation, modification, and team training.
Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Acknowledge booked revenue target and drive attainment.
Open, track, and close opportunities in CRM with closed‑won reports to the Director of Markets.
Collaborate with geographic tax partners to position the firm for success.
Identify and lead cross‑functional teams to pursue all aspects of key tax relationships.
Drive expansion and penetration of priority tax clients and targets.
Provide routine insight into the tax landscape and devise competitive strategies.
Attract, hire, and retain top business‑development talent and train them on Withum services.
Create and deploy common processes to ensure the tax team is positioned for success.
Complete mid‑year and annual reviews, establishing accountability and responsibility.
Participate in national and regional tax service line leadership.
