Job summary

BDO USA is seeking an Associate in Capital Advisors to support tax equity, tax credit transfers, and project finance transactions across energy, infrastructure, housing, and related sectors. You will perform due diligence, data room review, and analyses while coordinating with internal teams and external advisors to advance deals to closing.

The role involves market research for business development, preparing client-ready materials, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics required.
• MBA preferred.
• Three or more years in tax equity, tax credit transfer, project finance or similar.
• FINRA Series 7/79 and 63 licenses, or in active pursuance, required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution and origination of tax credit transfer, tax equity, and related engagements through workstreams and deliverable development.
• Perform financial, tax, and business due diligence support including data room review and issue identification.
• Analyze client financials to identify historical and projected trends, working capital, liabilities and risks.
• Build and refine transaction analyses and supporting schedules with sensitivity analyses.
• Draft sections of diligence reports and client-ready materials and findings.
• Coordinate with external legal, tax, and advisory professionals to support deal milestones.
• Review transaction documents and summarize key terms and negotiation items.
• Maintain engagement workplans and status updates for timely execution.
• Support business development with market research, pipeline tracking, proposals, and marketing materials.
• Participate in networking and industry events to enhance visibility.
• Provide guidance to junior team members on workpaper quality and analysis.
• Other duties as required.
