Job summary

Jackson Hewitt Tax Service Inc. is seeking a Tax School Facilitator to teach on-location courses in several cities, including Troy, OH and various Indiana locations.

You will deliver structured tax education, cover federal and state tax concepts, and lead hands-on return practice. Ideal candidates will have at least one year of teaching experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to engage adult learners in a classroom setting while staying current on IRS updates and Jackson Hewitt

Qualifications

• 1 year prior teaching and the ability to speak and facilitate a small group (5–10).
• Previous teaching, training, or instructional experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with computers and presenting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, structured tax education courses to students of varying experience levels.
• Teach core tax concepts including federal and state income tax preparation, deductions, and credits.
• Facilitate classroom discussions, exercises, and hands-on tax return practice.
• Evaluate student progress through assessments, quizzes, and feedback.
• Maintain an organized and welcoming classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Stay current on IRS tax laws, regulations, and updates to ensure accurate instruction.
• Collaborate with management to align curriculum with Jackson Hewitt standards and training materials.
