Job summary

LG Legacy Group, LLC, a Philadelphia-area tax and accounting advisory firm, seeks an accomplished tax leader to manage complex engagements for high-net-worth individuals and businesses. You will collaborate with Partners and clients to deliver strategic planning, build lasting relationships, and drive practice growth.

Requirements include a CPA, 10+ years in public accounting tax, and proven staff mentorship.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or related field.
CPA license required.
10+ years of recent public accounting tax experience.
Experience managing complex tax engagements and leading client relationships.
Demonstrated experience supervising and developing professional staff.

Responsibilities

Direct the preparation and technical review of complex individual, trust, estate, partnership, S corporation, and C corporation tax returns.
Provide strategic tax planning and consulting to clients on business transactions, entity structure, succession planning, and tax-saving opportunities.
Serve as the primary point of contact for key client relationships while delivering exceptional client service.
Partner with firm leadership to identify new business opportunities and support practice development initiatives.
Lead research and resolution of complex federal, state, and local tax matters.
Represent clients before the IRS and other taxing authorities, including responding to examinations, notices, and technical inquiries.
Monitor changes in tax legislation and communicate the impact to clients and internal team members.
Manage multiple engagements, staffing, budgets, and project timelines while maintaining profitability and quality standards.
Mentor, coach, and evaluate Managers, Senior Accountants, and Staff Accountants to support their professional development.
Foster collaboration across engagement teams while promoting technical excellence and accountability.
Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and retaining top talent.
Contribute to firm initiatives, process improvements, and technology adoption to enhance efficiency and client service.
