Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC seeks a Tax Director for a well established, highly profitable regional CPA firm. You will lead tax reviews, manage client engagements, and drive planning with large potential bonuses and a 5% employer 401K contribution.

This role offers a clear path to Partnership, exposure to SEC and closely held clients, and the chance to mentor staff while collaborating with partners across diverse industries.

Qualifications

• Seven to ten years experience in public accounting with increasing tax complexity and research.
• At least two years experience representing clients before taxing authorities.
• Minimum one year experience supervising tax preparers.
• Forty hours of continuing education per year to maintain skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical tax review and approval of returns and examinations.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in discipline or industry.
• Oversee client service, ensuring tasks meet budgeted time.
• Develop staff and provide training and coaching.
• Communicate tax developments to firm personnel and clients.
• Delegates and manages governmental tax examinations as needed.
• Travel to client offices and attend meetings/seminars.
