Base pay range

$160,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr

Director of Talent Strategy at StaffBright

We’re on the lookout for dynamic individuals ready to make an impact in the tax and regulatory compliance field. This is a Contract position and expected to last approximately three months with the possibility of it being extended.

Job Description/Qualifications:
What You Will Be Doing
  1. Manage relationships and ensure deliverables with external tax service providers.
  2. Oversee the preparation and filing of various tax returns, including federal, state, and local income taxes, as well as sales and use taxes.
  3. Maintain accurate tax accounting records, monitor effective tax rates, and manage responses to audit-related inquiries.
  4. Oversee the development of tax-related reports for financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and other necessary purposes.
  5. Lead efforts to streamline and enhance tax compliance and reporting processes.
What We Need From You

To be considered for this role, candidates must have the following experience and skills:

  1. Bachelor's degree or MBA in Accounting, Finance, or Tax.
  2. Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in tax management.
  3. At least 5 years of experience working for a manufacturing or industrial supplier, ideally within the automotive sector.
  4. Solid understanding of US GAAP, IFRS, internal controls, and U.S. tax compliance within a global manufacturing context.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
  6. Willingness to travel domestically as required.

The ideal candidate will also have any or all of the following preferred experience and skills:

  1. Expertise in optimizing manufacturing processes for tax-related matters.
  2. Familiarity with mechanical systems, automotive technologies, and industrial systems.
  3. Strong project management capabilities, including planning, team coordination, and delivery of projects on schedule and within budget.
