Job summary

Cherry Bekaert's Tax Credits and Incentives Advisory (TCIA) team is growing. The Staff role focuses on federal credits and incentives engagements, including R&D tax credits and employee retention credits, delivering client-ready analyses and deliverables.

You will interview technical personnel, assemble client data, support engagement teams, and act as the lead contact for clients with tax and technical backgrounds, traveling to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's degree (preferred) in accounting or Bachelor’s with 150 hours.
• GPA 3.0/4.0 or above preferred.
• Interest in R&D tax incentives, federal and state incentives, and employee retention credits.
• Interest in depreciation and capitalization; fixed asset review; cost segregation; software development costs is desired.
• Ability to participate in all aspects of engagement planning and have strong project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel to client sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve clients on federal credits and incentives engagements including R&D tax credits and retention credits.
• Develop technical skills in a given industry/service offering to solve complex issues.
• Interview technical personnel and reviewing memoranda to support opportunities.
• Manage the review and organization of client data for credits and incentives analysis.
• Support engagement teams by identifying project status and next steps.
• Lead the final client deliverables.
• Support evaluation of complex scenarios involving various credits and incentives opportunities.
