Job summary

Cherry Bekaert LLP is expanding its Tax Credits and Incentives Advisory (TCIA) team in the United States. The Staff role focuses on federal credits, including R&D tax credits and employee retention credits, while building technical and client-facing skills.

As part of the TCIA team, you will manage data for analyses, engage with clients, and help assemble final deliverables. Travel to client sites may be required as needed, and strong teamwork is valued.

Qualifications

• Master's degree (preferred) in accounting or Bachelor’s with 150 hours.
• Interest in federal/state incentives and employee retention credits.
• Ability to travel to client sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve clients on federal credits and incentives engagements including R&D tax credit/deduction analyses and employee retention credits.
• Develop technical skills in a given industry/service offering to solve complex issues.
• Interview technical personnel and review memoranda to support credits and incentive opportunities.
• Manage the review and organization of client data for credit and incentives analysis.
• Support engagement teams by identifying current project status and next steps for the engagement.
• Serve as the lead point-of-contact for client personnel with both tax and technical backgrounds.
• Lead the assembly of the final client deliverables.
• Support the evaluation of complex scenarios involving various credits and incentives opportunities.
