Job summary

Plante Moran is seeking a Tax Principal to lead the Tax Credit Transferability practice across all 50 states. You will own growth of an end-to-end practice, building a book of business and leading a Transferability Team in a market-facing role.

You will oversee client engagements, IRS processes, and collaborate with Assurance, Tax, Management Consulting, and Wealth Management teams. Travel is expected to support business development and client delivery.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of tax, tax credit, or clean-energy transaction experience.
• Proven ability to build a book of business in clean-energy credits.
• CPA preferred.
• Public accounting experience preferred but not required; industry and deal-side backgrounds are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Lead origination and growth of the firm’s tax credit transferability practice on both the buy-side and sell-side, nationally.
• Cultivate and expand a network across the clean-energy credit ecosystem — direct sellers, brokers, syndicators, and developers in the 45X / ITC / PTC markets.
• Build a book of business through proactive market development, prospecting, proposals, conferences, and referral-source relationships.
• Serve as a market-facing leader and public voice for the practice, developing thought leadership and representing the firm at industry events.
