Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA licensure eligibility or Bar exam eligibility by start date.
• Minimum of two years of tax experience.
• Strong computer skills including Excel.
• Ability to meet client service, quality and deadlines.
• Effective communication with firm personnel and clients.
• Project management skills to handle multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and work extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Research, address, and consult on IRS practice and procedure issues including penalties, interest, and examinations.
• Prepare written communications to the IRS regarding penalty abatements.
• Work on IRS account issues, corrections and reconciliations.
• Prepare Private Letter Ruling Requests.
• Collaborate with other specialty groups on cross-functional tax matters.
• Participate in firm trainings.
