Job summary

Florida Department of Revenue is seeking a Revenue Specialist II for the Tampa Service Center. The role involves contacting taxpayers to resolve liabilities, making corrections, and collecting taxes, penalties, interest, and fees due to the State of Florida. Occasional travel is required to taxpayers’ locations.

Qualifications

• One year of experience working with accounts receivables, banking, collections, or financial services OR one year of full-time direct sales experience that includes cold calling.

Responsibilities

• Contact taxpayers to resolve tax liabilities, make corrections, and recommend compromises.
• Collect taxes, penalties, interest, and fees due to the State of Florida.
• Gather information for final enforcement actions and prepare legal documents.
• Identify properties subject to levy.
