Job summary

The Department of Revenue in Florida is seeking a Revenue Specialist II to join the General Tax Administration program in the Receivables Management, Field Operations - Collection Process at the Alachua service center.

The incumbent will contact taxpayers to resolve liabilities, prepare corrections, recommend compromises, and collect taxes, penalties, interest, and fees due to the state, with travel to taxpayers' locations as needed.

Qualifications

• One year of experience working with accounts receivables, banking, collections, or financial services OR one year of full-time direct sales experience that includes cold calling.

Responsibilities

• Contact taxpayers to resolve tax liabilities and gather information for final enforcement actions.
• Make corrections and recommend compromises; collect taxes, penalties, interest, and fees due to the State.
• Prepare legal documents and identify properties subject to levy.
