Job summary

The ZLC Group CPAs seeks Staff Accountants with 1–3 years of public accounting experience to join its Tax and Business Services Team in Amherst, NY. The role involves working on multiple client engagements, preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, and delivering high-quality tax planning and compliance services.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Accounting, CPA licensure progress, and strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; progress toward CPA licensure; Master’s degree a plus.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with organizational and analytical capabilities.
• Proficiency in tax research and accounting software including QuickBooks, MS Office, and Thomson Reuters.

Responsibilities

• Work on multiple client engagements, preparing and reviewing complex business and individual tax returns; provide tax planning and compliance services.
• Build effective client relationships, identify tax issues, research solutions, and deliver timely, high-quality service.
• Participate in staff development, mentoring interns, and continuously learning new tax skills across a diverse client base.
