Job summary

CLA in Albuquerque is seeking Tax/Audit Interns to begin in January 2027 and end in April 2027. You will work on preparing tax returns, performing audit and assurance tasks, and supporting client engagements under supervision.

Qualifications include pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA exam eligibility, and proficiency with MS Office. Travel to client sites and reliable transportation are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance in progress or completed.
• CPA exam eligibility to sit per state requirements.
• Proficient with MS Office and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Prepares individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns.
• Performs audit, review, compilation, and other assurance services.
• Gains experience, exposure, and knowledge of procedures, workpapers and systems.
• Supports multiple client engagements on time and within budget, identifying issues and communicating progress.
• Expands industry knowledge through exposure to peers, clients, and formal training opportunities.
• Completes research and special projects as needed.
• Communicates effectively with clients and CLA family members regularly.
