Job summary

CLA in Akron, Ohio is seeking Tax/Audit Interns to gain hands-on experience in returns, audits, and assurance services. You will support multiple client engagements, learn procedures and workpapers, and collaborate with CLA colleagues to deliver timely, quality work while building knowledge of the tax and audit fields.

This internship offers exposure to diverse clients in tax and assurance, with mentoring and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA eligibility required per state requirements.
• General knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepares individual, corporate, partnership, and other types of tax returns.
• Performs audit, review, compilation, and other assurance services.
• Gains experience with procedures, workpapers and systems.
• Supports multiple client engagements on time and within budget, identifying issues and communicating progress.
• Expands industry knowledge, through greater exposure to peers, clients, and formal training opportunities.
• Completes research and special projects as needed.
• Communicates effectively with clients and CLA family members on a regular basis.
