Job summary

Archer Lewis LLC, a national accounting and advisory firm, seeks a seasoned tax and assurance leader in Portland, OR. You’ll serve as the primary client contact across tax, audit and assurance engagements, review complex returns, and provide strategic planning advice.

You will lead engagements, oversee staff, and help grow the firm's book of business while ensuring GAAP, GASB compliance, and high-quality client service in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Active CPA license required.
• 7+ years of progressive public accounting experience in tax and assurance.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing staff, client engagements, and workflows.
• Experience handling complex engagements for various entity types (S corp, C corp, partnerships, trusts, estates).
• Public accounting firm experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of tax compliance, planning, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary client contact across tax, audit, and assurance engagements.
• Review complex tax returns (corporate, partnership, trust, estate, LLC).
• Provide technical expertise in tax law, compliance, and planning strategies.
• Lead assurance and accounting engagements with GAAP and GASB standards.
• Oversee client accounting functions and ongoing financial reporting.
