Job summary

You will advise clients on corporate tax services, engage in planning and mergers and acquisitions activities, and collaborate with a team to deliver complex tax solutions.

The role emphasizes developing skills across AI, Alteryx, Power BI, and MS Office, with formal training, mentoring, and opportunities to work with a broad network of tax specialists.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed JD/LLM in Taxation within 12 months.
• Preferred GPA 3.0 or above.
• Coursework or minor in information systems, software engineering, computer science or data analytics preferred.
• Knowledge of corporate and partnership tax matters with focus on M&A.
• Ability to travel and work on-site as needed; authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on corporate tax services (planning, research and M&A activities) and complex tax structuring.
• Work with team members and client deliverables.
• Collaborate with Washington National Tax on returns for S Corps, Partnerships, LLCs and LLPs.
• Identify and analyze tax risks and opportunities related to acquisitions; liaise with finance and accounting teams.
• Draft tax memoranda, opinions and articles.
• Review and perform risk management activities.
• Develop capabilities in AI, Alteryx, Power BI for client service.
