Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking a Tax Associate for our Business Tax Services practice. You will assist clients with tax planning, compliance and consulting needs and support a multi-disciplinary team on complex opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing and have completed relevant degrees in business, accounting, finance, taxation, mathematics, economics, information technology, data and analytics, or engineering.
• Preferred: Accounting and Taxation.
• Must pursue CPA licensure requirements with completion of required credits by start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with tax planning, compliance and consulting needs.
• Supervise and allocate work of team members and interns.
• Prepare and/or review tax provisions for financial statements with audit team coordination.
• Analyze, prepare and review tax workpapers and returns, estimated payments and extensions.
• Research and draft technical memoranda for compliance and consulting projects.
• Respond to inquiries from IRS and other authorities, including tax controversy support.
• Build capabilities in technologies like AI, Alteryx, Power BI for client service delivery.
• Develop and sustain client relationships as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Stay up to date on tax technical developments.
