Job summary

SSC Advisors, Inc. and SSC CPAs P.A. are seeking a Tax Associate to join a growing, employee-owned firm that values teamwork and delivering client-focused service.

You will prepare tax returns, review filings, and respond to IRS notices while building lasting client relationships. The role requires 3-4 years of tax experience in public accounting, a Bachelor's in Accounting, and proficiency with QuickBooks; CPA or EA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA or EA preferred.
• 3-4 years of tax experience in public accounting.
• Proven proficiency in the preparation of tax returns.
• Experience with Thomson Reuters UltraTax/Accounting CS a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

• Tax return preparation and/or review based on qualifications
• Respond to IRS and State tax notices.
• Prepare quarterly estimated tax calculations.
• Complete state and local tax filings.
• Ensure returns are prepared accurately and filed timely.
• Communicate directly with clients to request information and answer questions.
• Build and maintain client relationships.
• Manage multiple engagements and deadlines during tax season.
