Job summary

E.A. Buck Accounting & Tax Services (EABATS) is seeking a Tax Associate to join our Denver office. The role focuses on preparing individual and business tax returns, providing bookkeeping support, and collaborating with teams across the Buck enterprise. The position is full-time and on-site in Denver, CO.

The candidate should be detail-oriented, with at least one tax season of experience; background checks apply. A background in accounting and client service is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum of one full tax season of relevant experience
• Enrolled Agent (EA) credential preferred, but not required
• Background check including fingerprinting and reference checks required

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual and business tax returns and assemble tax workpapers.
• Coordinate delivery and presentation of completed tax returns, including DocuSign where appropriate.
• Respond to client questions and schedule appointments throughout the year.
• Prepare billing for completed tax returns and track deadlines.
• Gather and reconcile bank statements to support monthly reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements such as P&L and balance sheets.
