H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to join our tax office team. No prior tax experience required; you’ll receive training from day one and work directly with clients to gather information, prepare returns, and answer questions in person at a local office.

You’ll earn a competitive hourly rate and have the chance to grow your knowledge and earnings as you build tax knowledge and client relationships in a supportive, client-first environment.

Qualifications

• Completed H&R Block Income Tax Course or equivalent tax training.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in service-oriented environments.
• Strong communication, including explaining information clearly and asking clarifying questions.
• Problem-solving skills with ability to organize information and identify solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools like Copilot or ChatGPT.
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.
