H&R Block is hiring a Seasonal Tax Associate to join our local tax office. You’ll meet with clients, gather information, prepare returns with training, and answer questions while building client relationships in a hands-on, in-person role.

No prior tax experience required; training and support start day one. Expect an hourly wage with opportunities to increase earnings as you gain tax knowledge and contribute to the office’s tax season priorities with teamwork and a client-first approach.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment
• Strong communication and needs assessment skills
• Problem solving and organizing information
• Comfort using digital tools including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma / GED/ equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach
