Job summary

Parallel Advisors, LLC is seeking a Tax Associate for a fully remote role across the United States. You will support tax engagements, manage client data, and coordinate the tax filing process while collaborating withTax Directors, managers, and financial advisors.

The position requires 2+ years of tax practice experience, familiarity with SurePrep and Lacerte, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of tax experience in a professional practice (CPA firm or RIA).
• College degree preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• CRM experience (Salesforce) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support team members in meeting timelines and workflows by maintaining client data files.
• Understand and work with tax software including SurePrep and Lacerte.
• Ingest client documents into SurePrep and verify data in Lacerte.
• Coordinate all stages of tax engagements with clients and e-file processes.
• Field inquiries from clients and financial advisors.
• Create client invoices using Canopy software.
• Act as liaison between in-house tax professionals and Parallel stakeholders.
• Assist with ad hoc requests and other projects as needed.

Job description

Parallel Advisors is looking for a results-driven, experienced Tax Associate. You will be joining a fast-growing Registered Investment Advisory firm with a culture of entrepreneurship, education, and collaboration. The Tax Administrator will work closely with our Tax Managers, clients, and financial advisors, to deliver high-touch service to our clients.

The Tax Associate will report to the Tax Director and will work to aid our organization in maintaining a high level of service to our clients in the areas of tax organization management, team administrative work, tax document collection and sorting, verification of tax data scanned and imported into software, and client invoicing for services. You may also be asked to work with other cross-functional teams on other duties, such as marketing tasks, which support our service model and the overall mission of the Firm.

This is a fully remote role. It can be based in any state Parallel Advisors, LLC currently operates in.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support team members in meeting timelines and adhering to established workflows by accurately maintaining client data files and supervising work statuses
• Understand and work with tax software including SurePrep, Lacerte, and Canopy
• Send organizers, gather and sort client documents, ingest into SurePrep software and verify that data is imported accurately into Lacerte
• Coordinate the all stages of tax engagements with clients, including printing returns, gathering client signatures, and administering e-file process
• Field inquiries and document requests from clients and financial advisors
• Create client invoices using Canopy software
• Act as a liaison between in-house tax professionals and other Parallel stakeholders
• Assist the Tax Director and/or the Tax Managers with ad hoc requests and other projects that may arise

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with key tax software, particularly Sureprep and Lacerte.
• Minimum two years experience within a professional tax practice such as a CPA firm or tax department within an RIA firm.
• College degree preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
• Capability to manage multiple demands and competing priorities.
• Savvy with technology, especially as it pertains to data entry and systems maintenance.
• CRM experience (Salesforce preferred) a plus

• $55,000 - $75,000 a year
