Job summary

Parallel Advisors, LLC is seeking a Tax Manager to join our expanding tax department. You will work closely with the Tax Team, clients, and financial advisors to deliver high-touch service and address complex tax issues for high-net-worth individuals and related entities.

This fully remote role can be based in any state where Parallel Advisors operates, emphasizing client-facing communication, tax compliance, tax advisory, and proactive planning within a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Active CPA license or IRS Enrolled Agent (CPA preferred).
• 7+ years of experience preparing complex tax returns for high-net-worth clients.
• Experience with professional tax software packages (i.e. Lacerte, Ultra Tax CS, CCH Axcess or ProSystem fx) and automated digital workpaper solutions (i.e. SurePrep).
• Experience with QuickBooks Online preferred.
• Ability to use deductive reasoning to identify credits or deductions.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex tax returns for high-net-worth individuals and related entities.
• Analyze client books (e.g. QBO) to extract tax data and propose year-end adjustments.
• Serve as the primary contact for external client communications on tax matters.
• Prepare quarterly and year-end tax projections and compute estimated tax payments.
• Perform tax research and recommend solutions to client questions.
• Act as point person for assigned clients and respond to technical requests.
