Job summary

Jobot in Oklahoma City is seeking a full-time Tax Associate to join our professional services team. You will prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, corporations, and trusts, while analyzing records and ensuring accuracy.

You will work with clients, respond to IRS notices, and support advisory projects within a collaborative firm. The role requires strong tax knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple engagements

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in individual and business tax preparation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • CPA, EA, or CPA-track candidate strongly preferred but not required.
  • Strong understanding of corporate and individual taxation principles.
  • Experience with bookkeeping and financial statement review.

  • Analyze financial records and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial schedules, worksheets, and exhibits for valuation, advisory, and financial dispute matters.
  • Perform bookkeeping and account reconciliations for business and individual clients.
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding tax filings, financial documentation, and information requests.
  • Correspond with the IRS and state taxing authorities regarding notices, filings, and compliance matters.
  • Conduct account analysis to identify tax planning opportunities, deductions, and credits.
  • Support financial reporting and organizational projects for closely held businesses and high-net-worth clients.
  • Maintain current knowledge of tax laws, compliance regulations, and accounting standards.
  • Manage multiple client engagements while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
