Responsibilities

• Prepare, post and reconcile payroll-related journal entries.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts tied to payroll and benefits.
• Manage intercompany processing including month-end close.
• Generate audit support documentation.
• Process monthly general ledger accruals.
• Review and update monthly FTE reporting.
• Assist with preparing financial statements and support closing.
• Prepare and submit U.S. and Canadian sales tax returns.
• Coordinate with external tax providers.
• Gather financial information for prequalification packages.
• Support ad hoc projects and compliance initiatives.

This Tax & Staff Accountant will support tax reporting, general ledger activity and payroll-related accounting. What’s the job?

• Prepare, post and reconcile payroll-related journal entries for monthly and year-end reporting
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts tied to payroll, benefits and employee-related transactions
• Manage intercompany processing, including month-end close, preparing statements and issuing shared services invoices
• Generate audit support documentation
• Process monthly general ledger accruals, including recurring and non-recurring expenses
• Review and update monthly FTE reporting with the Payroll team
• Assist with preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and support the closing process
• Prepare and submit U.S. and Canadian sales tax returns monthly/quarterly
• Coordinate with external tax providers regarding corporate tax payments and required documentation
• Gather and organize financial information for sales prequalification packages and annual renewals
• Support ad hoc projects, system improvements and compliance initiatives
