Troutman Pepper is seeking a Tax Analyst in Atlanta to support the firm's state and local tax compliance, balance sheet analyses, and planning initiatives. You will reconcile accounts, review and prepare tax filings, and assist with budgeting while providing analytical support across departments.

The role emphasizes working in a hybrid setting with a focus on accuracy, process improvement, and timely responses to partner inquiries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Minimum three (3) years of relevant tax experience, preferably in a partnership or professional services environment.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, to prepare schedules and workpapers.
• Experience with state and local tax compliance and tax provisioning is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Respond to information requests from partners, tax authorities and internal departments, preparing support as needed.
• Support partner tax reporting, including Schedule K-1s, state withholding, composite filings, and PTET elections.
• Manage multijurisdictional sales and use tax compliance, including taxability reviews, accruals, reconciliations, and filings.
• Maintain and reconcile fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and related tax reporting.
• Review federal and state returns prepared by 3rd party advisors for accuracy.
